EFMLS Wildacres Scholarship

It is with great pleasure to announce that we are able to continue the EFMLS Carolyn Weinberger Memorial Wildacres Scholarship to award to TWO individuals for the upcoming EFMLS Wildacres Workshop to be held in May 10-16, 2027. These scholarships are made possible due to donations to this fund.

Each scholarship will cover one individual’s tuition for classes and room-and-board, which for 2027 is set at $540. It will not cover any additional class material fees, transportation, hotel, or other travel expenses.

All clubs within the Eastern Federation can submit one participant’s name, a club member, who preferably has never attended Wildacres before. It is up to the clubs how they select that individual. The club’s President or other officer can submit the nomination. The names for first-timers to Wildacres will be put in the hat separately, and the Wildacres Committee staff will draw two lucky participants. If there are no first-timers, then we’ll draw from the rest of the nominations.

Registration for the May 2027 EFMLS Wildacres Workshop session will open on January 1, 2027. If the participant awarded this scholarship has already sent in his/her application, their deposit will be refunded.

We would like to keep the EFMLS Carolyn Weinberger Memorial Wildacres Scholarship alive and are asking for contributions during the upcoming years. We hope to have enough funds to make this scholarship an annual event.

We look forward to receiving your nominations. Please submit them to me via email no later than December 10, 2027. I will bring them to the Wildacres Committee staff for the drawing by December 15, 2027, and announce the results shortly after.
