The Federation conducts their Annual Convention each year in concert with a Mineral Show sponsored by a Member Organization. Federation business conducted at the Convention Annual Meeting is open to all members of Federation Member Organizations in good standing. Each Organization may be represented with two voting members (Delegates) by attending the Annual Meeting. As many members of Member Organizations should attend as possible as there are individuals and programs available to help their Organizations. The weekend events include one or more field trips and a variety of awards are presented at the Banquet and Editor’s Breakfast (BEAC). There is also great camaraderie during the event and the shows are always excellent.

AFMS Endowment Fund 2019-2020
During the Annual Convention Please consider Contributing to the AFMS Endowment Fund
Why contribute to the Endowment Fund? Simply, your donation of either an item donated (pretty rock) to the fund or the purchase of tickets helps tremendously with this important fundraiser for the Federation. The interest from the monies generated is used for AFMS special projects, such as, junior badges, judges training, digitizing of slide programs, just to name a few.
Tickets for the drawing are:
$5.00 per ticket or 5 for $20.00.
