The Central Pennsylvania Rock and Mineral Club, Inc. is a great resource for rock enthusiasts of all levels of interest and expertise. The club was established in 1958 with the goal of encouraging interest, enjoyment, and appreciation for rocks, minerals, gems, fossils, and lapidary arts.
We are a non-profit (501c3) educational organization that is affiliated with both the Eastern Federation of Mineralogical and Lapidary Societies as well as the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies. This makes us an excellent source of information on rocks and minerals as well as providing opportunities to meet others with similar interests.
If you’re a rock enthusiast, then monthly meetings are the perfect way to learn more about your hobby. We have guest speakers who give presentations on various aspects of geology and earth sciences. Monthly meetings are open to members and visitors, so feel free to come check us out!
Have a younger rock enthusiast? We have a junior program for school-aged rock lovers that meets at the same time as our general club meeting. They’ll learn lots of fun stuff about rocks and get to share their hobby with other kids!
