Additional Info:

The Burlington Gem and Mineral Club (BGMC) is a northern Vermont club, mainly based in Vermont, open to anyone (even outside Vermont!) interested in minerals, fossils, gems, and lapidary crafts.  Club activities include presentations by club members and invited speakers at monthly meetings, field trips to collect minerals and fossils, and our Champlain Valley Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show held each July.

To promote an interest in our hobby, the Club supports talks and displays by members at local schools and libraries.  The Club also offers the Ethel and William Schuele Scholarship to support original research on Vermont geology by undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a college or university within New England or New York.
